All the JETs participate in a few days of summer school, in which each country sets up an exhibit to teach the students about various English-speaking nations; the US did a roadtrip, Canada set up a hockey rink, Australia/New Zealand demonstrated their cultural mythology, and the UK played "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" These days have begun to prepare me for the classroom, and have certainly made me excited to interact more with the children. Even though there are students who aren't thrilled about learning English, there are a handful of them who really wear their enthusiasm on their sleeves and try their hardest to connect regardless of their ability.
