Here is a photo of the gang, eating at the conveyer belt sushi restaurant. There's a conveyer belt next to the booth that rotates plates of sushi, so if you see something you like, you take it off and eat it. You can see the plates stacked up on the table. Clockwise, from left: Joe (Utica, NY), Dwayne (Newfoundland, CA), Andy (Bristol, UK), Brindley (Capetown, SA), Me, and Hannah (Minneapolish, MN). While Hanayama leaves much to be desired commercially, the town over is only a 10 minute walk and has a lot of great Japanese restaurants such as this.

In a rough Japanese translation this place is called "Bumpy Park," but because the JETs are so mature, we like to call it "Titty Park" (wonder why). It's right outside the busiest train station in Kobe and serves as a central meeting place and general hangout area. Lots of Japanese punk bands like to set up here and perform for the gathering crowds.
